Group A was responsible for hosting a selection of teams including Baroda, Bengal, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Group B consisted of the following teams: Andhra, Assam, Delhi, Hyderabad, Maharashtra, Mumbai, Saurashtra, and Tamil Nadu. In Group C, a number of teams including Chhattisgarh, Goa, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry, Rajasthan, and Services engaged in competitive activities. Likewise, Group D encompassed teams such as Chandigarh, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Railways, Tripura, and Vidarbha. The Plate Group was comprised of the following states: Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Sikkim.
